For over thirty-six years, Cumberland House of Pizza has been a family-owned and operated establishment. Located on Mendon Road in Cumberland, Rhode Island, Cumberland House of Pizza has been a mainstay in the community for several decades.
Remembering Where We Came From
The story of the Cumberland House of Pizza began long ago with a young immigrant family in search of the American dream. In 1968, the Lambrou family traveled to the United States from their native Greece with only the clothes on their backs and a few suitcases. Armed with a belief in the power of family and a desire to share their love of good food and good conversation, the Lambrous worked hard to open their own restaurant. That dream came true in 1974, when they purchased a little pizza shop in the growing town of Cumberland.
Growing with our Town
Today, Cumberland House of Pizza is a bustling hub for the community, a warm and inviting gathering place for friends and families in search of a good meal, reasonable prices, and welcoming atmosphere. Over the years, Cumberland House of Pizza has evolved to meet the needs of the ever-expanding community. During the 1980s, the shop doubled in size from only seven tables to a spacious casual dining restaurant. The full service counter is a place where customers and staff can exchange witty banter and the latest on town happenings.
A New Family Member
In the late 1990s, the restaurant underwent its most dramatic expansion with the addition of a full-service bar and dining area. Affectionately known as Chop’s Pub, this new room boasts the same classic menu, served by friendly and knowledgeable bartenders and wait staff, in a lively and social pub atmosphere.

The Lambrou family takes great pride in the food they serve and a quality dining experience for all of their customers. Cumberland House of Pizza has been honored with several awards from Rhode Island Monthly for Best Pizza and Best Grinder in the Blackstone Valley.
A Fresh Take
The quality and freshness of Cumberland House of Pizza’s ingredients is unparalleled, thanks to the dedication of the owners. We take it upon ourselves to make fresh pizza dough, pizza sauce, marinara sauce, soups, salad dressing and other dishes every day. The work ethic instilled in the owners at a young age is still evident in the restaurant today. The values that made the Cumberland House of Pizza what it is are being passed down to the next generation who have joined their parents, aunts, and uncles behind the counter.
